when you hit the runway, is it okay to downshift from 4th gear to 2nd gear to help take some of the stress off the spoiler and brakes and use the transmission to slow it down too?

Interesting seeing AAL use the A/T on for landing. Not a Boeing procedure for a manual landing.

Strange that he is flying manually but wirh autothrottle engaged. Normally manual flight is manual thrust as wellon the 737.

Do you guys use ils to help line up or do you use a RNAV? Been trying to figure out what is the best kinda approach. Been uaing RNAV on flightsim cause isnt RNAV the future?

Seems a lot of fuel for landing, 13'700lbs. Maybe a test flight or ferry of some sort?
