I’ve re-interpretted Miles’ statement in the tune All Blues — I used to think it applied to music, but really applies to life. every artist, craftsman, farmer, etc, no matter the genre, who puts in the sacrifice of time, thought, soul and sweat, is parlaying his “blues” via his work. When you see a field cleared by hand and ox, that used to have scraggly oaks and now has a home and thriving farm, there’s a thud in the chest just knowing that sacrifice that produced it. The extreme amount of work Pat Metheny has produced is uplifting yeah, but it’s heart-breaking also. This book, and your work to produce your thoughts in such a professional manner is a heart-breaker. The continuity you’ve maintained over such a long period of time is incalcuable. When I pay off the Gretsch I just bought, I’m buying your book — not really for me, but just a very cheap way to say thank you!

Rick - this new multimedia book production has to be eligible for a PhD, particularly when the vast amount of teaching resources and analytical material on your channel is taken into consideration. The Beato Book was already one of the best teaching resources currently available anywhere, and now it has these new dimensions. You are an outstanding musical educator - we already knew that. Come on Ithaca College be the first to give Rick a Doctorate before another more prestigious institution does it.

OMG $20? That’s nuts. You really should have priced it higher. I mean the we difference between a million page pdf and an interactive audio video learning system is really night and day. I have the book and I’m really glad you have an upgrade feature but I’m paying $100 for it and you can’t stop me.

Honestly, I had a hard time following a lot of the information within the book. I tried from time to time, but was never able to learn all the concepts. I even messaged you (your website) asking if there was a forum for those that bought the book for help, but there wasn't one. Reignited my desire to learn everything you have to offer in the book through the online version. Upgraded!
