I remember when this album first came out, it was so good it was scary, literally. The Van Halen sound was unmatched and nobody could play guitar like Eddie could, not even close. There were the guitar solos of Freebird and Stairway to Heaven, Eruption blew it all away and still does.

This is incredibly mind-blowing for 1978! The album would have to have been one of those albums that really took the music industry to a whole new level and been an inspiration to a lot of other bands that were hugely successful in the 1980s.

I showed this song to my friend who never liked rock music and he told me the instant he heard David Lee roth's voice he fell in love with van halen. Even to this age van halen is still blowing people's minds up!

I was just a teen when this hit came out. Talk about partyin many a nights to it. Awww, the memories! Funny thing though, I had some of the lyrics all wrong. I'll blame it on the partyin.

Great song. This is when artists/musicians took pride in their work ( except for some disco crap at the time, but even some of that was good) This track is just exceptionally high quality.
