These are music educational videos showing the techniques that I used during the recording of original tracks on which I was featured.

I am therefore claiming fair use to teach students the parts of these songs.

You know it's a lucky day when you're looking for someone to show the details of a song's bass line and lo and behold, you get the fellow who actually created it! Who says Friday the 13th is bad luck?

Awesome, Phil. Ultimate Sin is my absolutely favorite Ozzy album (unpopular as that opinion may be!). This band just DESTROYS.

The chorus bassline and the fill leading into it is basically the greatest thing ever.

Hi Phil. It has always bothered me that the Ozzy camp didn't and probably still doesn't give you and Jake the credit I feel you both deserve on making what I consider to be the best album of Ozzy's career. Not to mention Ozzy's best lineup of musicians to boot. I know it doesn't matter now, 30 odd yrs later, but I personally want to thank you for being a part of an album that changed my life in a way that no other album has ever done before or since "Ultimate Sin". Thank you again, and best wishes on all your future projects. Your "Ultimate Fan".. Muzzie0323(Scott)

Found this channel just as of today, so great, I'm a fan since Ultimate Sin, Phill has a unique style, he uses pedal notes just like no one, never boring, always with a twist!

Really appreciate this Phil - some great songs on that record!

There's a reason Jake E Lee played (and wrote some of) Ozzy's two highest-selling albums -
and Mr. Soussan demonstrates why those two albums have such a groove to them, too.

The bass work on this whole record stands out as one of my favorites. The root ride into a stroll of groove fantastic stuff!

My fave Ozzy album, the musicianship contained within the tracks is insane... Jake was at his peak... 👌

Awesome! Am looking forward to learning this for an upcoming rehearsal.
I was not really a huge ozzy fan, but we were chatting after last week's jam and our drummer put this on and I felt this idiot grin spreading across my face 😊 just thinking about how meaty this sounds and how much fun it would be to play.
And here we are, it's great to find some finer details of this tune on youtube, by some guy with a similar grin when playing through only then to realise that it's actually 'The Guy'!
Cheers, Phil. What an amazing world we live in 😅
