I think those Paiste 900 series are some of the best sounding cymbals there are. crashy, good sustain, and smooth enough sound for riding.

That 20" 900 Series Ride Cymbal sounds VERY MUSICAL (according to my ears)! The sound from it is crisp, clean, bright, & Bell-like...I'm pretty impressed.

For the price range, those are excellent. And there is the option of colorsounds too.
I have owned a 24" 900 Heavy ride and while the tone is impressive, it doesn't cut as much as Signature rides of similar weight. 900s are a great option for smaller budgets.

I have 900 series 15" heavy hi hats, 20" crash and 20" ride and i am in love with all of them, they was recommended to me by my drum tutor who is a Paiste artist. could be more in love with the cymbals and i will be buying more of the 900 range looking at splashes and a china although not quite sure on sizes just yet. but for value sounds and overall tone you can't go wrong with Paiste.

what is the point of the 900 series? They don't sound as good as the other lines.

Paiste never feel right and I swear the make u go deaf faster than any other cymbal !

this series is a total flop.. I mean I love bright and cutting Paiste sounds, I'm not one of those looking only for dark and dry sounds, but even so - these just suck, I tried to love them, I once tried to buy them, I never loved any of them, except for 22 heavy ride, maybe..? they just have that annoying hum in the sustain after the initial attack splash, which in my world is a sign of a cheap cymbal.
