if there ever was a case for trading ohtani before the deadline, this was it. back to back losses for #17 with every reason to give him run support knowing his clear intention to be released to a playoff contender. result? back-to-back zero run support with a cocktail of minor leaguers, full timers hitting a buck fifty and endless returnees from long injury leaves, anaheim is doing m.l.b. fans a disfavor by refusing to free shohei to the mets or yankees and get some blue ribbon starters and prospects

I don’t want to see him go to a big market club, but imagine how much good Shohei could do for baseball if he went to the Dodgers or Yankees. He needs to get into a postseason. Otherwise he’ll waste away his career like Trout.
