Stock P73 ECU's have it set at 5800RPM. This was to make a selling point of a "kick" torque spike when people test drove the car. A smooth transition usually set to a lower point with stock cams picks up a lot of midrange power. On this motor it was tuned to be around 5000RPM at WOT. The window is set from 4800-5600 depending on manifold pressure.

With today's technology using Bosch injectors there is no longer such a thing as too large of an injector. I chose ID1000's because of the excellent spray pattern and it provides room to grow.

At what rpm does your vtec kick in at? I just got a 98 ITR swap too and mines kicking in at 6000-7000 is that a little to late?
