Rust has been on massive popularity rise and is very capable in so many use cases. So would highly recommend (I'm lazy tho so I stick with my cpp)

Not hard to learn for someone with a background in Python and C/C++/C#. It is like the best features of all these languages are picked and enhanced and glued together to make Rust. And it is an easy language to learn

I think it's disingenuous to give advice without having learned it yourself. Even though I agree that a lot of technologies should be need to learn, I think learning Rust is a transformative experience. If you have a free weekend, rewrite something relatively simple that you've written before. At that point, you can form a genuine opinion and give genuine advice.
