Minibus Campervan Coversion Part 20: Building The Kitchen

In Part 20 of this Mercedes Minibus Campervan Conversion, I start building the kitchen area of the campervan conversion (See links below for items used). The kitchen area is built using standard kitchen base units and a real wood work top. The worktop has a hole cut in for an under counter mounted sink as well as a hole being cut for the Thetford Topline 4 burner gas hob. I also make a start on mounting the Thetford Spinflo Duplex Oven as well as fit some soft close hinges on the cabinet doors as well as some hidden push button locking handles. The campervan kitchen build will be completed in the next episode due to a lack of fittings required for the tap. Below are links to all items used within the campervan kitchen build.

Nice fridge! 👍 How do you plan on securing it to the bus? Also, is the door magnetic? Cheers.

Hi again. Loving the conversion you are doing a great job. I love the fridge and it’s colour. Thanks for answering my previous questions. Next question is; I understand the reason for drop out holes under gas fittings; gas heavier than air etc but; with open holes, especially in this country, do you not get surface water/clag etc being thrown up through the drop out holes?

Real wood looks amazing but really not. Good choice for a van they don’t respond well to change of temp and moisture
