OutRun 2 SP SDX (Sega AM2) Arcade Gameplay!!!

Join me for a very fun game of OutRun 2, on one of the magnificent SDX arcade cabinets!!! :D Not only is the game itself fun, but this it gets even better on the SDX machines, featuring four full size cars (each with two steering wheels) which allows up to 8 players to play against each other! As well as massive 62 inch screens, a race leader board and cameras, and also motion hydraulics. These things are truly awesome! Apparently these particular arcade machines are extremely rare too, so I think myself extremely lucky to have one of these in an arcade that I visit quite often!! So overall, I rate this a solid 10/10 EASY!!! xD

The gameplay obviously wasn't the best, however due to filming, I had to do it one handed!!! :) And at least I managed to reach the goal! YAY!!!

*UPDATE 30/04/2022* - This machine has now vanished completely from this arcade! :(

It wasn't in all that playable condition in 2021. I was expecting a new racing game to replace it, but no! Six more ticket redemption carnival games now sit in its place. In fact, despite this arcade being so big, it has no racing games at all now! :/ Very sad times!!!

The race ends and you hear that music and realize that you are back to the real world and that Sega had you completely enthralled; now that's a game! Just like a great book or movie.

The fondest memory I had with this game is getting AA rank on heart attack mode, in the little arcade of a bowling alley I took a field trip to in middle school. I was surrounded by a bunch of other kids (my classmates), some cheering me on, some trying to mess me up. When I crossed that finish line, a whole eruption of screams went off behind me. No one else even came close to the finish line, so it was a pretty big deal at the time! I remember walking back to my bowling lane, head held high, feeling like the king of the world.

The main thing I learned from this film was that seagulls can fly at over 300 kph.

I found one in my hometown when I was hanging out with my wife, then I had her sit on passenger seat while I drove to the finish line and showed off my drifting skills as if I were taking her to some park with cherry blossom. Sweet memories.

What a great remake/ evolution of the original game, and from what I've heard, it's closer to what the designer wanted it to be all along. So much fun to be sitting in a cabinet and play live with friends. The sheer excitement of it could only be SEGA!

Miss the old days of playing games like Daytona, Sega Rally, Crusin USA, OutRun and many other arcades with friends, now everyone is in solidarity confinement with Online multiplayer games.. lame

This machine is a work of art...there is one in the mall near me, I grew up playing on it. Still make sure to go every time I'm there cause I don't know when it will simply be gone forever...I'll post a video next time I play it.
