One of the most insightful gear breakdowns I've seen. Never thought about using the subpac as a monitor. I've had a few gigs where the monitors has no low end and made me mix more in my headphones. Seems like the subpak could be helpful in that situation.

It's better than the setup of Richie Hawtin.
1) using a single program reduces cpu utilization
2) no need of maschine for step sequencing.
3) no need of sending midi clock
4) guitar pedals make beautiful analogue effects
5) neat setup and str8 forward

Tbh I don't understand all the hate. These Dj's are just having fun with their setups and making music. And a lot of the time it sounds great. And if you want more original artists, then support the original artists that you like. Other people will eventually become motivated to become original artists.

once you start properly using controllers u realize what this is all about, read in the comments about the kontrol s8 sorry but it's not the same thing just for one reason, pioneer djm900 nexus, the perfect mixer for traktor pro. Ean thank you for sharing this, thank you DJTT.

Awesome video man, really interesting setup from a man who really knows his stuff.  It's refreshing to see a setup so sophisticated yet so simple at the same time, and definitely demonstrates to all the "vinyl elitists" that controllerism isn't some lifeless artform that anyone with half a brain can do.  Not a stab at y'all vinyl guys, I respect the shit out of you.
