The Spartans knives could easily be a titanium composition with tungsten to enhance the hardness of the blade and hopefully keep the Spartans accidentally breaking the knife blade. Just a thought.

Speaking of tungsten as a knife, a company called Sandrin makes tungsten carbide knives. Usually brittle, they managed to make it a bit more flexible. To my understanding, what they came up with is softer than most tools made of tungsten carbide but is still harder than steel.

I've recently been playing through all the Halo campaigns on MCC!
& I noticed the cutscenes where Chief uses his knife to save himself from a fall, and kept thinking that it was weird that I hadn't seen a detailed video break down on Spartans knifes!

And almost as if Installation 00 was in my head and took that as a challenge! Now here we are with "EXACTLY" what I was thinking about!

Someone put up an unofficial list of UNSC knives on one of the wikis, and I 3d modeled the knife they listed as being used as a bayonet for the MA37. It was a really fun project and I’m proud of how it turned out.

I do actually like having a knife sheath that will sharpen the blade when pulling out or putting it away. Makes maintenance just that much easier. Less guess work than using a whetstone.
