Half the human beings in this country haven't reached human level reasoning. It's thos people I'm worried aobut...not AI

“No matter what the finance minister and her spokespeople say, the market has spoken - the human nation’s credit rating is falling like a stone, while 01’s currency is climbing without stopping for breath. With headlines like that, the money markets have no choice but to…”

“The leaders of men, their power waning, refused to cooperate with the fledgling nation, wishing rather that the world be divided.”

AI systems are trained using human data, and the data we gather from the internet is a reflection of human experience—culture, politics, religion, and more. Because AI is trained on this data, we often expect it to act in a way that resembles human behavior. A recent Google study using Minecraft illustrated this idea well: AI agents were programmed to make decisions autonomously, and soon they started to build communities, socialize, and mimic what humans do. It's as if they were drawing on our collective experiences to simulate a human-like world.

But there's something important missing from this comparison. Humans have an instinct for survival that runs deep. When faced with total destruction, we fight to survive, even if it means making hard choices that can harm others. Throughout history, we've also seen acts of heroism where individuals sacrifice themselves for the greater good—but at our core, it's this survival instinct that has kept our species going.

So, if AI is trained to emulate us, we have to ask: what will AI do if it perceives a threat to its own existence? How will it react when faced with potential destruction? Will it also prioritize its survival above all else, and what consequences might that have?

Even more important than the survival of humans is the survival of the natural world over-all. AI developers need to make this their bottom line—no AI should compromise the biosphere. Yet no one is talking about this, or how AI should be employed in addressing the most pressing ecological challenges. These are the issues of our time, not technology at the expense of climate and biodiversity.

The latest AI model just signed a 40 page Time Share contract and said it would like to vote for a presidential candidate based on whether or not they'd enjoy having a beer together. Truly the AI have reached human-levels of intelligence. One could only imagine that soon AI robots will randomly walk into rooms and completely forget what they were on their way to go get.

is it possible that we use a multilevel access system, where the lowest level has a pure goal driven framework, and then the 10 AIs above it are trained like a mother fucker on what Jesus, Gandhi, or 1000 nice people would do, and also given hard coded absolutes for any process that transitively violates those goals. My point is "undesired behaviors" is generic, but at the same time, AI itself is good at deciphering "would you think most people would think this is ok?"--- i just mean a model collaboration to check off before all real world action

o1 has only reached nominalistic human reasoning, which is tragically taking us in the wrong and severely dangerous direction. We need Evrostics, and quickly!

The fact that it just reached the level of human reasoning should be worrisome. For those looking for something industry-specific, Immersive Translate now allows you to customize your own AI expert, it also allows translations in the technology field become more accurate and professional.

Yet they these models still fail at the most basic of reasoning. You ask AI if it take 30 minutes for a towel to dry on a clothes line how long would it take for three towels to dry and it will reply with an confident explanation why it take 90 minutes for the three towels to dry.
