Love how he's tapping his foot on the beat so he can keep the syncopated piano rhythm going. Very subtle but adds a lot of motion to the performance. Beautiful rendition.

My friend and I performed this at my mom‘s funeral.

This is the best performance of this song. Not even Radiohead can do it better. Something perfectly magical about the acoustic of the piano and his pedal work.

Sure, OK Computer is a masterpiece and in many ways Thom's best work. But isn't it ironic how two years of depression and writer's block, where Thom thought his entire creative carrier was over, led to Thom's and Radiohead's most creative and revolutionary work? Let downs and dark times truly strengthens and shows your absolute potential once you recover. If anyone reading this is having it rough, know whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. You will get better.

And yes, I know alot of the Kid A and Amnesiac material was written in that period, but he still had a long and hard period where he felt nothing he made was as good as it had been before.

1:45 - 2:25 may be the most beautiful interlude I have ever heard

This was the last song i listened to before plunging 7 stories at 70 miles per hour onto concrete. only here now by the grace of god and have a 5-year-old daughter. so much could have changed if i had succeeded. if you are thinking about doing this, or that you have no control over your life, remember there are people out there who love you, in spite of all the stupid shit you do. let go and let god, live in spite of your pain

The change of lyrics to "i'm talking to you after it's too late" crushed me. Most of my friends are struggling and depressed and not being able to help them and one day finding out they ended it is one of my deepest fears.

The difference between this version and bonaroo live is tom yorke screaming out on the culmination of the song "this is my way of Saying
And here he is so emotional he just cant scream out but wants to
My two favorite performances of videotape, Love Radiohead❤

Watch him wobble to a beat that is not there. Ingenious.

this is one of the most intimate performances, from Thom Yorke, Ever
just him, piano, when i hear it, i think he's singing to his 1st wife, as she's passing with cancer
that's just what i see or hear
its a very tender song, only possible with true real emotion
amazing

Is no one noticing how the lyrics get switched up on this version at 2:25?!

This is my way of saying goodbye
Cuz I can’t do it face to face
I’m talking to you after it’s too late
From a videotape
No matter what happens now
I won’t be afraid
Because I know today has been the most perfect day I’ve ever seen

Yorke takes it weigh up. Still a zeitgeist for its intelligent, aware and sensitive listeners.

*trigger warning* I was locked up in a psych ward when this was first teased in 2007 after an unsuccessful suicide attempt. I was a big fan since the Bends and had seen them four times, (1995 for the Bends, 1998 for OK Computer twice, and 2001 for Kid A/Amnesiac) but I was so lost in drug addiction, ego, and misery, I wasn’t listening to music much. Despite being a musician myself.
Sitting in the day room of that amazing psych facility, I never expected that was where I would discover probably my favorite Radiohead song. It made me feel in a way I hadn’t felt for a long, long time.
Thank you Thom🖤🙏
(ANIMA and Daily Battles were also ... unbelievably good).
