Sawdust and Dryer Lint fire starter which one is the best? I take an egg carton and place sawdust in 6 holes and then place dryer lint in the other six with candle wax on top of each.

Love the videos and its neat to see you do experiments.
One concern about safety: Paraffin wax is kerosene based and can flash ignite when heated directly on the stove, use a double boiler - a pot of boiling water on the stove with the can in the boiling water.
Not all lint is created equal, cotton bath towel lint is best for these, synthetics can make noxious fumes, and some clothing (especially baby clothes) have a flame retardant in the formula that makes them burn poorly.
I've made the sawdust ones before and yes, you didn't have enough wax in the mix. They work better adding the sawdust into the melted wax till it's about as thick as pancake batter, then glop into the cups.
My favorite fire-starter is a strip of newspaper, rolled up and tied with a string, and then dipped in the melted wax.

I made some fire starters last night... dryer lint mixed with vasoline then dipped in melted bees wax... they burned like hot fireballs for 5 minutes then left a burning red ember... its a messy operation but results were good. So I had another idea...
This time, I'm going to mix dryer lint with saw dust and a tub of vasoline in a plastic tube, this is going to be messy... with the saw dust being added until I can roll them into nice balls for dipping in the wax... I figure a big batch of those should last me a lifetime.

Been using the fireplace here up north for weeks. Will make some of these soon.

You should make a fire starter with sawdust and dryer lint in the same carton. Thanks for the video!

I believe the lint burned longer due more air ventilation. Mine burn for 15 minutes. I might have stuffed more lint in the cavity??? Also my biggest issue is finding cheap/free wax so I use them for the times I want a quick fire that I can walk away from as soon as I light the fire starter. I get my lint from the laundromat. I call them the day before and they will collect it for you :)

I wouldn't use any sort of lint but cotton or linen. Wool and silk would stink and rayon melts.

I'm glad that the dogs weren't in this video. I find myself wanting to say stop that when they get in the way and they distract you from what you're doing. I find it to be irritating.
