This just proves how good SNL was back then. When they wrote this and thought it out, it probably sounded really stupid, but when it all came together it was absolutely brilliant. I remember when i was in middle school impersonating Operaman for my dad and stepmom at dinner and making up my own little songs on the spot about stuff that I saw in the news or stuff that happened at school.

2:55 almost 20 years I’ve been watching this segment and it’s genuinely just amazing Opera composition! It’s a mini play and I’m still so impressed — Lovitz, Sandler, Close! Hope they reunite and do another performance of it some day 👏
