ESPN's Way Too Early TOP 25 RANKINGS are AWFUL.. (2023-24 Rankings)

Thoughts on ESPNs WAYYYYY too early rankings! Still too soon to fully tell but fun to look at for sure!

It's my understanding Darrion Trammell will be returning to San Diego State next year for his final year of eligibility. Not sure why ESPN isn't reporting that and why this video reported otherwise. In fact, SDSU will be returning 5 out of its 9 man rotation next year. Coach Dutcher is pretty excited about at least a player or two waiting in the wings who couldn't crack the lineup this year but are expected to add to another heavily experienced team next year. Without considering the possibility of transfers, SDSU thinks it can follow up this past year's team that played in the National Championship game with another senior-laden lineup. It's just a matter of whether the new pieces will perform same, less or better than the great players who are leaving. As the team exists today, I'd have rated it a bit higher at maybe 18. If a big scorer can be found already on the team or late addition that can replace Matt Bradley's production, the ranking would probably be moved up several places.
