Drenthe wanted to be a rap star more than he wanted to be Real Madrid legend. He also had to fight for his place with Marcelo who in addition to his football skills had a very friendly personality. The type of guy that cheer you up when you are down and someone everybody wants to be around.

The worst enemy of Drenthe is himself. Sure a lot of people took advantge of him but he is the one that has blown it over and over again. With his talent and a bit of hard work he could have easily been a top player for at least 10 years. But he blew it and says that it wasn’t a disaster 😕 it was and he should recognize that so that he learns from his mistakes. He filed for bankrupcy a few months ago and I hope that he will learn from his mistakes and not blame other people.
