In this lecture we introduce many of the important definitions that will be used throughout the course. We introduce the difference between ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and partial differential equations (PDEs), the order of a differential equation, and what a system is. We also discuss what it means to be a solution to an ODE, which will be important for the discussions in the following video lectures.

This course is taught by Jason Bramburger for Concordia University.
