Hi Sir when you said we just have to evaluate p of 2 so the remainder in this case is going to be equal to P of two, which is equal - 3 time 8 my concern was how did get 8 ?

does this work for other operations? eg: p(x)/(x+a)? or do you need to use subtraction

Sir we have to consider only x-2 or we can consider any other number

shouldn't it be p(-2) instead of p(2) since the a is negative? (x-2) | a=-2

I keep getting 21 as my remainder when I do the long division. What Am I doing wrong?
