What I love about the movies is this:

In Movie One, Tom and Maddie gave Sonic all he really wanted: a family.

In Movie Two, Sonic did the exact same thing for Tails.

Longclaw wasn't the only one that influenced our little blue friend.

He left out the fact that knuckles stopping sonic mid spin dash is obviously a nod a an almost identical scene in the sonic x anime.

I can't believe that people did not notice or mention this, but when sonic and tails go inside the bar, the outfits they are wearing are references to the Bonanza brothers, another game developed by Sega.

I have noticed A LOT of these references in the sequel.I feel like they reused some scenes from the first one and put them in like Sonic and Tails' journey shows them bonding and becoming friends similar to Tom and Sonic, the way Tails looks up to Sonic is the same way Sonic looked up to Tom, the way how Tails used to spy on Sonic before meeting him is just like how Sonic used to spy on Tom and Maddie before officially meeting them, and how Maddie tended to Tails when he was unconscious just like she did to Sonic in the first one

The part with Sonic going snowboarding down the mountain reminded me more of the beginning of "Ice Cap Zone" from Sonic the Hedgehog 3
