I saw some type of a hat man once. I was very young, about 5. My parents were arguing, when he came into my room, stepping like a real man. He was very tall. Oddly, he touched my arm and I looked up at him. He wiped my tears and I suddenly felt very comfortable. He gave me a toy, but it was a shadow. I don’t remember what it was. He stayed there until one of my parents came in, I don’t remember if it was my mom or my dad. It faded away, along with the shadow toy it gave to me. I have never seen it again.
