No... it's not dead. If anything you guys are making it more popular. I've changed my investing strategies drastically since watching this channel and becoming a patron. Really, the only thing I'm not doing is investing in BABA. It's not that I don't like BABA or believe the numbers, it's I don't feel comfortable with the China situation overall. lol Keep up the good work guys!

This is exactly how I found myself taking small bets on fledgling companies. I made projections using industry data and their own goals, and found some that can do very well for investors, despite significant expected share dilution. That's the cool thing about investing, we can find our own companies!

I went through his valuation course on YouTube. I found it was useful to put me in the right frame of mind to value a business. But it wasn't practical because his approach is very academic. For example, rather than using WACC to discount cash flows, most practitioners would use a r required rate of return.

Paul, all you have said makes sense, but do keep in mind that many that follow you do not have your money portfolio. You are trying to help the less rich make money, so looking in "teenage companies" could be very helpful for us.

Is Paul still buying the BABA dip and dip and dip and dip. A stock that’s done nothing but dip for a year and a stock you could have held for the last 5 years and barely made a dime. Maybe Paul should save the hubris until he finds out whether BABA work out. I’d be interested to know whether he’s still averaging down.

One thing I, who have traditionally been a momentum oriented investor, and concerned about is that even long time value zealots seem to be making concessions right now, and many advisors who have been selling the DFA style value funds are now pivoting to cap weighted index funds to try to keep clients.
That doesn't make me think some of these liberalizations to value analysis are bad, but just that we could really be at a breaking point for the cycle. Value strategies always work best the fewer investors exploiting the factor there are.

Paul I feel the Elon Musk Bitcoin tweets in my soul. I find it so baffling that he can simply drop a tweet and cause such crazy swings. I find myself quickly reiterating from the Bitcoin world. I love listening to Prof Ashwath, he is truly an unbelievable wealth of knowledge.
