Glad you guys are giving him his recognition. I’m hoping he’s back in Blue next season but any team will be lucky to have him. He’s coming back to prove something next season.

Walker Buehler's pitches are still similar to his 2021 season, what made his game so good was his command of the baseball. From his struggles this year the command was not there, you could see it in the post-season that his command got better. He is not a flamethrower pitcher anymore he toned his velocity down compared when he got the big leagues. If he gets that command down, he's easily could eat up innings for any team he commits to.

Look at which organization (Dodgers!!!) gave him the time to heal (2 years) and confidence to show that he still had something in the tank. Put Buehl-dawg on any other team and he gets traded for pennies on the dollar before giving him a chance to turn it around. Dodgers only asked 5 innings a start out of him in the regular season and then believed in him again to close out the World Series. If you look at Blake Treinen, same story, time to heal and recover. This is why the Dodgers are the best run franchise in sports, bar none. My Lakers on the other hand... uhgg

Sucks he got hurt and was out for that time, he was one of the best pitchers in baseball when he went down. Sign a one year deal bet on yourself, and have a great season and get payed and big contract next year.

When Buehler returned from the IL, he didn’t look good. Every outing, he issued a lot of walks and was getting lit up. As the season went on, he got slightly better every outing. I still wasn’t sold on him heading into the Postseason but the Dodgers didn’t have any more SP. Just glad vintage Walker Buehler showed up.

The only thing Buehler did wrong in that SD playoff game was to allow the Padres to hit the ball at his fielders. He did give up a homer to Tatis, but that was the final runs the Padres scored in that series, and it came after the Dodgers defense had ruined at least 3 plays which would have gotten Padres out. I give him no blame for that inning.

After 2 TJ surgeries, he is still high risk, high reward. I hope the Dodgers re-sign him but I don’t think they should pay top dollar.

Walker's NLDS game 3 2nd inning was more the result of sloppy Dodger defense than it was a clunky outing on his part, essentially the Dodgers' version of the Yankees' game 5 inning 5 meltdown, but with some key differences.

First, the hometown scorekeeper in the Padres game didn't charge the Dodgers with errors, so all the runs charged to Walker went into the books as earned when they probably shouldn't have been. That stat jumps out and without context leads to comments like in this video ("from the third inning on"). For the Yankees inning everyone is quick to point out those were unearned runs for Cole.

Second, the Dodgers in that inning had injured Freeman and Rojas in the field, which tends to explain why they weren't as sharp. They were used sparingly after that, with Rojas left off the NLCS roster and Freeman benched a few games as well to give time to heal.

Third, the Dodgers' bad inning didn't occur in an elimination game, so the team had time to recover from the setback of losing the game due to it. And because of that Walker was able to build upon his later innings in that game, which is where the 24-inning scoreless streak started that led the Dodgers to winning that series.
