We should absolutely not give up all those prospects for a pitcher that's on a innings limit or someone we even talking about going to a 6 man rotation to try and accommodate.. noo way

Desi hire may nudge the needle for Roki Sasaki a little too. Roki's agent said Dodgers not given. He is also looking for an organization with the coaching staff that can help him grow. Watching Yamamoto have a roller coaster first year but Senga having a dominant first year then now adding Desi can only help. He might still end up a Dodger but this signing doesn't hurt.
As for Soto only wants to win...If Soto returns to the Yankees, that's it for the Yanks. That's all they'll have except for a couple of minor tweaks. A team that last only 5 games against a Dodger team that didn't have their pitching staff and Judge and Cole are on the wrong side of Soto. If he joins the Mets, he'll be going to a team that took the Dodgers to 6 game WITHOUT him. Mets can bring in Soto, resign Alonso, resign Manea, and sign Corbin Burnes and their payroll might even still go down. And their core is still on greener side of 30.

I believe the infield for the Mets next year should be Bregman Lindor, Acuna and Vientos at first or you could walk at first and move Vientos to DH

It would depend on what we’re giving up. I would do Betty Mauricio and a lesser prospect for him, but I wouldn’t want to give up William Gilbert or Acuna for him
