My interpretation is that the father still love his son in his heart unconditionally and he does not blame but even understood what his son is thinking. He even try to help his son out. Even at his last moment, he thought of how to help his son instead of himself. So son thought “if this is what my dad thought in his last moment of dying then imagine when he was younger, dad must have done everything to give me a good life and look at what I’m about to do to him now. Getting old is not his fault!”. The son started to sob uncontrollably and after that the son pull the coffin back and take good care of his dad for the rest of his day until one day his dad peacefully passed away.
It’s a story of unconditional love of a parent and the enlightenment of the son to the universal love of all parents whoever have children.
