A little boy was overjoyed after a professional ice hockey player made sure he passed him the puck from the game in a video viewed over 20 million times.

Josh Scott caught the moment John Tavares from the Toronto Maple Leafs handed the puck to his son mid-game on camera at the Little Caesars Arena, in Detroit, Michigan.

In the clip, the player reaches through a hole in the barrier screen.

Other children try and grab the puck, but Tavares ensures it reaches the little boy who had been holding up a homemade sign.
