Started this game yesterday after seeing it was free on EA play. As a monster hunter veteran and someone with hundreds of hours on MHW; i was pleasantly surprised with this game. A lot of similarities to monster hunter but plenty of cool features to set itself apart. I went into the game thinking I wouldn’t like it and it would be a cheap monster hunter clone but I was definitely surprised that it has its own thing and is pretty damn fun. About 10 hours in now and still enjoying it. (On PS5 btw)

The cheaper hunter tents using the hunting towers, like the first one in the tree, after to build the tent and travel you can come back, demolish the tent to get back the resource, and that travel spot will still be there. This only works on the preset campus you can find though.
It lets me go back and demolish the tent at the cheaper camp sites after building tent there. It then will still allow me to fast travel there, same for the very first tent inside the old tree, this also frees up some of the dragon pit camp resources.

biggest beginner help i can hand out is that this game is more akin to Bloodborne than something like monster hunter. In MH, the point is to learn the attacks, and dodge out of the way while slowly chipping away at the baddie. in Wild hearts- you have i frames that help you roll THROUGH an attack. this game is very much about mobility and getting an almost Nioh type rythm down, and if you can stick with it, its an amazing monster hunting game.

Would love some more indepth information on the Tsukumo. How does it pick which form it's in? Can we control that? Is it better to focus on one path or level them all up because it doesn't matter? I'm generally a solo player so I lean towards the healer form but want to do the easy attack/defense level ups for the string but at the same time don't want him attacking. The game is too light on that info.

Im having a blast and in ps5 there arent that many performance issues the only thing ive encountered is fps drops while loading minato.

I like how for each karakuri there's a "and let's you perform special attacks based on your weapon". Glider+cannon, bulwark+claws, bulwark+rod, basic crate+katana, jumpin pedal+nodachi... Each weapon has its "best" karakuri combos🎉

What... I didn't know you're supposed to build towers all over the map. I use them to scan then dismantle them immediately.

I had the audio glitch but I was so focused on what was happening didn't notice it till I was out of combat. Also for the next video can you do in depth break down of the armor an armored skills get confused/bit overwhelmed with human path an kemono path

I really like the trial and will probably buy it even knowing it has problems. Ea is apparently a publisher like square enix where their games need to be fixed and finished after release lol

I am amazed at how good your game looks, game has been out for a while now and it looks pitiful on my higher end monitor and modern system. Its a great game but feels like im playing fable with how unfinished and unoptimized it is
