Im in class of 24 and I play against kids who are supposed to be in there junior year if high school it comes to the point where it’s ridiculous and Im never reclassifying other kids are reclassifying and im playing jv in high school if you a bucket you a bucket anywhere

Honestly speaking reclassing should stop because it really comes down to the parents and what their principles are. I don’t find it cool to give a kid an extra year of AAU, extra year of high school, extra year of middle school ball just because his parents value “making it” more than an education (something that can never be taken away from you mind you). A kid can work his ass off graduate on time but will never have the same recognition as a 15 year old 8th grader dunking in open runs because of different morals and beliefs. Push education more than making it because u can reclass all day long but that shit can be snatched at any moment. I lose respect for ppl like u who can make a video about reclassing before pushing what’s really important

I don’t think there should be rules against reclassing, but I don’t like the fact that people are going against others younger than them at this stage in their life where a years difference can be a huge difference of how developed you are. It just shows to me that you don’t believe your good enough to stand out with others your age

What do you think i should try to do to get noticed and gain recognition if there isn’t any aau basketball or exposure camps in the whole country. And there also aren’t any schools that are nationally known for their basketball.

The Problem is. Like you said it's not for everyone. But everyone thinks it's for them. I've seen many kids get their time wasted and not get that ship. Lots of bad advice going around. While you are still in high school. the others in your class being an adult living their life.

Gilbert arenas has a great take on this topic. You have to remember if you’re a 16 year old freshman and number 1 in the nation, in your class, you are experiencing false sense of success. No opinions just facts. The athlete needs to experience being a scrub and playing next level basketball. It does wonders for their development.
