I Fill an Art Gallery with 5,000 Condoms

Ever seen an inflated condom? What about thousands of them? What if we lit them up? This is my first official gallery show and I'm thrilled they let me create this Outrageous experience! It only took 3 days of inflating, lots of LEDs and a trombone. It's like Andy Warhol's Silver Clouds immersive exhibit... but more latex.

I installed one of the Warhol balloon rooms. It was a real art to fill them properly with the right ratio of helium and air. Every morning we had to go through the balloons and add air or helium as needed and we replaced many balloons weekly because they would slowly leak out over time. The fan placement was also very important. we would use paper clips as ballasts.

I feel like having a frantic artist trying to drown themselves in more and more condoms in the corner of the room would have really added to the installation for the first day 😂

Oh my This seemed ultra silly yet still super cool but the reveal after adding LEDs totally blew my mind! I think that really made the piece. I love all of the choices you made and even though they were orange, the RGB totally makes up for it. I wish I could have seen this in person. I'd say the algorithm is definitely doing you a solid, the first video that came up in my feed was of you peeling all the pop sockets off of your car hahaha then I saw the infinity mirror vortex door (doortex?) and now this. I will absolutely subscribe. 💀🧡🤖
