LAFD Works Stubborn Apartment Fire: Station 66

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on the 2300 block of W 54th St. Task Force 66 was first on scene reporting a two story center hall apartment with one unit going on the second floor. Truck 66 went to the roof while Engine 66 initiated fire attack. Truck 66 Captain was 54th St IC, requesting one additional task force for exposure concerns.

Engine 94 arrived on scene and backed up Engine 66. Engine 34 assumed Division C. Truck 94 assisted Truck 66 on the roof.

The fire ran through the attic space, floors and walls and to an adjacent duplex. Knockdown was called in 63 minutes.

Units due: Battalion 13, Light Force 33, Task Force 66, Task Force 94, Squad 21,Engine 34, Rescue 266 & Rescue 66

If someone can solve this nonsensical problem with hoses and water, there are BILLION$ to be made. It is always the same. Firefighters stringing out 50' and 100' hoses, over and under one another, FFs standing there ready to fight but WAITING for pressure, and so on. I don't have the answers, but these are problems awaiting solutions. Money to be made. Same with those thin plastic bags in the supermarket vegetable department that won't open. More money to be made. But I digress. 😐😐
