Great review as always George. Thank you for your great insights.
My issue is - what is the target market for this car? (I do admit that it will have a strong market despite what I say).
Panamera type drivers are unlikely to really want or need a car that is as ‘performance raw’ as this car is.
BMW performance sedan fans can get a great M5 much cheaper.
Those who want a performance beast - as this car is, to show off in, would likely want a car that doesn’t look, in the street to the uneducated, like just another BMW sedan. This car deserves to be in a body like a GT3. Whatever it is regarded to be in terms of performance, it still looks like a 5 Series BMW.
Having said that, it will probably be regarded in the future electric era as a classic ICE car.

The M5 Cs went on sale around $305k plus taxes where I live. Its now available through dealers for $520k plus. This car will either appreciate or depreciate very very slowly

This car, the new M3, and the M2 CS prove that BMW can still make driver’s cars. They just have to tale Motomans reference at the end, and start applying this very same formula to ALL their cars.

4000 lb lightweight sport sedan, now that's an oxymoron. Ah BMW M5, the stuff of my dreams in the 90's. Older & wiser now. I dream of the upcoming 911 GT3RS, a true lightweight track car. For the road, a 992 911 targa will do me thank you. Thanks George.
