On October 10, 2014, W. Jackson Rushing III, noted Native American art scholar, Eugene B. Adkins presidential professor of art history, and Mary Lou Milner Carver chair in Native American art, Wetzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts, University of Oklahoma, delivered their lecture titled "Apaches Forever: Allan Houser, 100 Years, 100 Drawings".
