I think the etymology of Gad and Chad (with a hard ch) should be taken into consideration. Remember, they are also under the CURSE of Deuteronomy 28. Ancient pictures of Gad, written descriptions of Nafturians, Syrians, and others in the area area said and shown to be dark skinned. Spain and Chad could have been the destination of the dispersed of Israel. All of this is interesting.

Gadara (greek) = walled place ; it can mean walled city, citadel or fortress but also a natural valley surrounded by mountains, a grave or graveyard, walled to keep the dogs out. It figurly can mean a passage or entrance. In ancient traditions the sun dawn and sunset took place at such a place or valley between mountains, pillars or waiters ; the valley of the shadow of death. In the book of Jonah, chapter 1, Jonah decides to flee to a place called Tarshish which is in southern Spain very near to Gadiz. Just an interesting note.

Jonah was perhaps written prior to the fall of the northern tribe. It may indicate that the Hebrews had a trading post in southern Spain. It would make sense in that area because it was also a cross roads for trade with the British isles.
