Effects for Drums on the Sonicware Lofi 12XT

Показать описание
Hi there, thanks for watching! In this video, I explore how the built in effects on the Sonicware Lofi12XT can be used to shape drum sounds. The capabilities are very impressive when compared to other samplers, especially considering its price.
Long story short, you can get the most control of your sounds when using a combination of an effect (EFX page), a filter (FLT page), and if necessary, reverb/delay (AMP page + RVB page).
Here are my favorite effect combos for certain types of sounds:
-Snare: add an effect that helps it cut through the mix like lo + hi EQ, then add a little reverb from the AMP/RVB pages
-Kick: add a low pass filter on the FLT page, then add rack compression to boost the signal
-Hi-hat: add crusher to tame the high resonance frequencies. You could also use the delay from the AMP page (which i did NOT do in this video) to add to the groove like how i set up the delay on the shaker
Got a favorite effect on the Lofi 12XT? Want to know about another feature of this device? Have any idea how the tilt filter works? Let me know in the comments!
