Patchmaster sun shade combo is amazing! It worked so well that I have new grass in a week! It went fast and didn’t cover quite as much as the bag said but buying the extra bags was so worth it!! I watered twice daily and never let it dry out. This stuff does the trick!!

This stuff is crap. I roughed up my bare spots, laid down some soil and then some of this stuff. Watered as required and weeks later the "fluffy, mulch stuff" dried into a tough, solid layer that prevented grass from growing through, even with a fair amount of rain and watering.It's almost as if the pulp wasn't biodegradable. Had to go back and pull it off, re-rake and plant plain seed.

Scotts products are usually a can't miss. That said, this was a complete let down. Not only did it not produce any grass, it clumped into a sheet of what looks like blown in insulation you'd find in your attic. Have to remove this to start over.
