I would like to make an EA trading bot to follow specific rules for entry.

All of this will all happened on a 5 minute chart time frame.

In order for a buy trade to start there must be a specific series of three 5 minute candles.

Two 5 minute bearish candles and then the 3rd candle must be bullish and close above the highest price above the both previous candles high price.

If that happens and the bullish candle closes above the 10 ema then enter a buy trade at market price with a stop loss 1 tick below the entry candle lowest price.

And the take profit should be 2 times what the stop loss is in ticks,

then in order for a sell trade to start there must be a specific series of three 5 min candles.
Two 5 minute bullish candles and then the 3rd candle must be bearish and close below the lowest price after 2 previous bullish candles lowest price.

If that happens and the bearish candle closes below the 10 ema then enter a sell trade at market price with a stop loss 1tick above the entry candle highest price.

And the take profit should be two times what the stop loss is in ticks.

In the settings I want to be able to adjust the stop loss in ticks, adjust the take profit in ticks, and be able to adjust the time of day the bot is active from, by default I want to have the trading hours between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM server time.

an advise to all of you: if you're going to trust a CGPT code, you have to remind it at least every 3 messages what you want from it. I'm a programming student and I know that CGPT literally forgets what you asked for very often while it "fixes" it's mistakes.

you can also use specific time frame MA parameter, ex; if price is above 50 moving average on 4h AND above 20 on 5 min... buy. this just further ensures you're buying with the trend

You might wanna increase the sample size of trades by increasing backtest duration. That way you are finding the best settings optimizing over a statistically significant sample size.

Bro... 2 things... the last one being the most important:
1. this is absolute gold. What an amazing way to approach building an automated trading system. I didn't know you could go back and ask GPT to make mods to an existing codebase it had built for you. Thank you for teaching me that. Also, interesting idea on the scalping set up. I will incorporate into some things I'm working on.

2. you might want to add a condition for the slope of your ema. If it's pointing down and you get that candle pattern you're most likely going to have a losing trade. I would suggest that the line is level or upward sloping for more successful entries. =)

I had no idea about bot making so I’m really loving these vids Arty.. I now see that the process could be a soul reaper as a person begins to spend uber-time on it lol, but it looks a really a great and satisfying project in the longterm for anyone clever enough to complete it. Awesome upload!
