Because no one is questioning how great our defense is knowing that we can do more all out blitz with our linebackers and D-Line while our secondary can do zone blitz. Because that's how dominant the Gamecocks defense is when forcing turnovers and with less penalties will be good too. Go Gamecocks

Ole miss has the best run defense in the country for all of you saying it will come down to defense. you can claim opponent all you want but if you havent actually watched the games just save it. Ole Miss' front 7 is elite and South Carolina's whole offensive identity is to run the ball with both QB and RB. South Carolina will have to pass, and the rebels secondary is barbecue chicken for them to do that, but.. it'll be easier for that secondary if the run is shut down which is very possible. Kiffin and weis will absolutely have to wake up as far as offensive gameplan goes. This game is a coin flip in my opinion after the home field advantage is accounted for. We'll see if the kentucky upset was a wake up call for Ole Miss or just an accurate depiction of who Ole Miss truly is.

Our defense is a little better than Kentucky's, particularly the D-Line as a whole. Couple that with the crowd, which is going to be very loud and rowdy, I think it makes things difficult for Ole Miss' Offense. I think the rebels will also have success defensively and it will be a challenging game. But I give the Gamecocks the edge.
