Rook seems to be a simplified version of the German card-game „Skat“.

Plot twist: the Rook Bird card is not used. It used to always baffle me why the deck has cards numbered 1 to 4 if they are never used, but here, the Rook Bird card is not used either.

Oh, Rook cards. These are used by some religious communities that have a prohibition against regular card decks.
I like the bird design for the cover of the cards, but the rest of the cards look pretty bland in comparison to regular cards. I guess that's the point, though. Can't let things as "shocking" as *gasp* a spade or *gasp* a diamond, lead you spiritually astray and condemn you to eternal hellfire after all!

Look, I know these religious communities have their benefits and they can believe what they believe, but I just chuckle at the idea of "THE DEVIL" hiding in a pack of cards. Oh those satanic clubs and hearts and jacks and kings! OooOOooooOOO! I doubt I'm offending any of them - I'm pretty sure if your community thinks playing cards are demonic, you're probably not watching YouTube either.
