I remember on the national news the following night, they said, “We’re going to end tonight’s broadcast by showing you the shootout between Team USA and Team Russia in its entirety in case you missed it.”

My parents are not hockey fans, and they were riveted.

The NHL is so foolish for not letting the players compete in the Olympic Games any longer. It’s the greatest 2-week advertisement for the sport of hockey you could ever hope for.
