The sad story is we have people in charge who can not make this profitable. That's the real story.

You made me proud again for being Albertan.
Why don’t we get the Olympic Games in a smaller town and use the money to develop other regions of Alberta for once. Norway had the Olympics in Lillehammer and it was huge success. Imagine if we put the money that would have been spent on the development of the infrastructure needed for the Games in and around Hinton for example, or Nordegg. Think outside the box and you will achieve great goals.
Lobbying for Olympics in big cities such as Vancouver or Calgary, that already get more than a fair share of all kinds of government support and are already known to international tourists, is a sure sign of the big developers using their ties with the government to profit on the back of the taxpayers across the country.

Glad you didn't get what you want mayor. Spending money that you don't have would put a lot of people at risk of being on welfare. Your city is already over priced.
Then you look at the fucked up voting you did for your mayor re-elect. You Should have been made to do a do-over with many Calgarians not being able to vote for lack of ballots at locations across Calgary.
