I take a look at Lemon's 2 piece hi hat system. Is this an affordable alternative to the expensive Roland Model? Is this something you might want to include in your electronic or hybrid drum setup?

The performance test part was excellent! Other YT videos just play random stuff on hi-hat for performance test and it's frustrating!

Hi, I got the lemon snare yesterday , so far so good, seems on par with my pdx12 as far as sensitivity and triggering. Has a nice feel and looks nice, build quality is good, I'll update you when I have it a little longer

I just got one of those today and they now ship with 2 washers in the box. Seems to me that Lemon takes reviews and criticism seriously and they react quickly.

That's a decent review! I was hoping you would play out with Scott Walker's "The Shutout". It's a perfect song for the hi hat. I'm sure it's on YouTube somewhere, . Thanks for posting the review, and nice of you to make another for Roland owners too, especially if the Roland that is what, $700+ more doesn't even work on some. Damn nice of you.

1. Are you still using the HHC12? I’m curious about its durability.


2. Since the HHC12 uses the same plunger mechanism as the VH-10, has there been any improvement in response speed?

This is the second video I watched of yours and they were both very informative. Many thanks! Do you think this could work on the classic Alesis DM10 module? I know Alesis has a similar two piece hi hat controller that is compatible with the DM10 so am assuming it should work. Thanks!

I bought one last year to complete my hybrid kit setup. It doesn't sit well on the stand and keeps trying to turn itself round when I strike it. I feel like I need a different clutch as the supplied one, but the insertion hole is too big for the rod that it sits on? I'm considering buying a new hi hat stand to be fair but any advice others have is gratefully recieved!

I think the TD-17KVX hi-hat foot close is way too loud anyway, and I'm using the cymbal that came in the box.
