My favourite feature so far in this gamemode is the ability to talk to characters while resting in between rounds and they have different lines! I was shocked and happy to listen to old characters like Thoma talk. Plus, if I can clear all rewards with Dehya as the DMG dealer for the last round, I'm sure most can with enough ubderstanding of the boons and sufficient build.

sometimes, I wish this was coop, it would give a reason for my friends to play genshin again. They're online pretty much every day, yet there is no compelling reason to play together anymore.

A small tip I can give for the new game mode is to not forget that you have the Traveler. He can change his element to anemo/electro for the current iteration of the Theater and can be used as a filler for the future elemental cast requirements too.

This mode forced me take my raiden off em build for the first time in ages because no hydro means no hyperbloom. I also feel like more energy recharge on characters in general is super useful because you are not going to have the perfect team comps or rotations. There were times I had xiangling with no bennett or beidou with no fischl.

advice to new players: do NOT fomo. i understand that the primos are great for you especially if you are a new player. but this game mode are for people who actually pull for a wide range of characters and already have a good roster. it's not as hard as the spiral abyss, but it is also VERY restrictive. i am now concerned because i do not have as much geo characters... i only have zhongli built, and yeah, it doesn't look too good if they decide to do a geo character-focused theater

The achievement that requires you to have 8 mysterious cache is so fckin dumb hard to get, my best run was 6 mysterious cache

i REALLY hate that you can’t even attempt the final acts without having 18 available characters that meet the criteria😭 i prefer to heavily invest in a few characters than invest a little in a bunch of characters but now i can’t get all the rewards unless i spend a bunch of resin on characters i don’t plan on even using 😢

imagine if this one has the charecter mapping function like the hsr divergent universe where all the underleveled charecters are leveled up to a certain point with moderate builds.

I think that this is going to be HELL for players who are super selective with their pulls and for new players..
Purely because they don't have enough characters built, not because the gamemode is hard itself, because the actual skillcheck isn't really that hard..
I do love that it exists, but it feels a bit disappointing so far, but we're only at the first season so i have hope

TIP: For those wondering how to go around and prepare for Imaginarium Theater, I encourage you guys to build more supports and sub-dps (I.e., yelan, xingqiu, sucrose, etc.) They don't have to be strong but usable enough with level 8 talents or something. Your DPS will be sharing supports with other DPS so its easy to maintain which DPS/Drivers you want to use, but the supports and Sub-dps will be annoying because you will need to match the allowed element for this season and also synergize well enough with your given units available.

For your runs itself, always prioritize getting Companion rewards or events, more units to play with = easier time. Whatever your points leftover get some buffs.

If there’s one thing I really learned about this mode is that I need to build more utility characters that J haven’t built yet like Beidou, Chevreuse, Sucrose, etc.
