What is Paxos Gold? - PAXG Beginner Guide

The Paxos Gold token is a commodity-backed stablecoin issued by Paxos on the Ethereum blockchain. Different from a fiat-collateralized stablecoin, a commodity-backed coin is hard pegged to a fixed amount of a physical asset, in this case, gold. One Paxos Gold token is represented by one troy ounce of gold, held in custody by the Pax Trust Company in Brink’s security vaults.
