Old adjustable wrench restoration

In this video I restore an old adjustable wrench which belonged to my great-grandfather.
This wrench is one of the stuff that my relatives were able to take with them during the forced resettlement of Ukrainian minority 1947 from Poland to Ukraine (Operation Vistula).
This old rusted tool has a historical value for me, so I decided to restore and keep it for the next generation.

Thanks for watching!

Вы *понимаете* толк в старых вещах: это и качество металла, и стандарт литья! Кроме того: важен сам интерес к процессу реставрации, а также последующая радость использовать такой древний инструмент!
Одним словом *Умница!*

It is great to see people bring back these old tools back to working condition and looking good. Glad to see you put such value on a practical object with so much family history so it may be passed down.

yeah i just did my restore, but i soaked mine in hot vinegar and salt after taking it apart to remove all the rust off it. worked well, i kept it as vintage looking as possible. so i restored the original handle.
