Rajamouli never said it is only South Indian film, you guys are misinterpreting it. He said it is an Indian film but not Bollywood film. He opted to mention that it is an native film from one of the southern part of Indian movie industries named tollywood. I don't think there is something wrong if one chooses to say it is their regional film from India. Not every film has to be recognised under Bollywood.

Wow keeping aside what rajmouli sir said. In case if the same award is won by any bollywood movie I bet they don't even dare to promote as Indian movie they still go by Bollywood or hindi movie. Loudly says, Native Native you can represent every culture in the same song, Telugu version celebrates Andra and Telangana cultures, in Tamil and Kanda version both relate to South States, and even malyalam version traslates its own culture in Malayalam version, in Hindhi vers whole Indian roots are memorized, it completely adaptale to every state, Every person can relate to his childhood memories, Village Life styles, that's why it's so loved by every one even when ur reading the subtitles 🎉
