The Base Condo Pattaya Review September 2018

An updated review on The Base Condo in Pattaya. The Base Condo is now almost two and half years old, so in this review I discuss the good things and the not so good things but on the whole I'm very happy living here at The Base.

Please note: The Base Infinity Pool is closed from 3rd September to 13th September 2018 for maintenance

Thanks Nick and Nick. I stayed at The Base for a month during April and May of this year in one of those 30sq mtr condos (same as Nick B's) in tower A. I was travelling alone so I found it to be a perfect size for me. I liked the way that even though it was small it had 4 distinct areas, and kitchen, bedroom, shower/toilet could be sectioned off from the living area. I'm a minimalist so there was plenty of storage space for my clothes and footwear. I didn't cook, but the kitchen seem to have enough pots and pans to prepare a meal (hot plates but no oven so forget cooking a roast, but if you need a roast look around and you'll get one for 200 baht). And my condo had a washing machine (outside on the balcony) which was a great bonus. All in all a wonderful place to stay.

amazing place. I looking to retire to pattaya next year but being right in the middle of the action would be to tempting every night. also all those day stayers would get to me after a while.

The grounds of the Base are very impressive. No excuses to not get your exercise. I would like to check on a condo later on but I'm not sure if that's the location I would prefer. It's in the middle of the action but I'm not sure that's what I would want if living there.

Cheers Nick - some great advice as know a few who have lost their shirt over there buying condos.  As you say location and being with an established company in for the long haul is key. 
Just stumbled across this channel recently and really enjoying it - appreciate all the hard work involved.

Those units at the base condo are really outstanding. The layout is so open and spacious. Me and a mate of mine had a two bedroom for about 1500 usd per month. Downside is the massive waterbugs that fly occasionally if the balcony door is open lol best part is the location 2nd road has all the best food spots, LJ metro just a hop skip away as well as central festival mall. The security really are top notch as well. Sucks I never got around to checking out the pool.

Have you seen the bad reviews on TripAdvisor, don't people realise it's not a Hotel. Iv been put off buying a appointment at the base because of all the illegal rental going on, thanks for enlightening people .

Just watched this video with the wife and have to say one of our favourites to date, I have seen these condos on booking.com but agree if you live there it’s not right . As regarding the Chinese I’ll say nothing . You have a beautiful apartment mate and the wife will deffo go Pattaya and love to meet up for a beer and maybe more beer 🍺 great video fella 👍

I didn’t know about the 30 day’s renting laws, lots of base short let condos available on air B&B which I was looking at for my next trip, I’ll stick with hotels again, thanks for the info 👍
