10 THINGS CRUISERS WANT FIXED RIGHT NOW.
Cruisers know what they like and what they don't. In the past few years cruise lines have been making alot of changes. While some changes have been for the better, others have been met with dislikes. Now I've been talking with cruisers and these are the top things they want the cruise lines to fix right now.

Who knew so many of my fellow passengers were thinking the exact same things I was? I hate giant ships! I deplore the decline in food and service. I want more time in ports to experience the local night life. And most importantly, I'm almost always a solo traveler. Traveling alone does not mean I want an inside cabin! Solo travelers like windows and balconies, too. I'd be fine with a smaller cabin, but I don't want to be squirreled away in a warren of inside rooms. Thanks for letting me vent, Don!

Enforce...no children in adult areas and sitting at the bar. No children in swim diapers in the pool or hot tubs.

This is the BEST video in a very long time. You nailed it.
Hope someone is listening!

I agree with smaller ships and more time in ports. We are not loyal to any line any longer. We pick where we want to visit and who goes there. I miss the little things they used to do.

I agree with the smaller ships. I'm not big on crowds so the smaller ships appeal more to me.

People want the little things. People want smaller ships. Lines are taking away little things, charging more, and building huge ships. 🤷‍♀️

I agree 100% on getting smaller ships. I have cruised on the smaller, mid size and the largest ships and I totally hated the mega ships. They were too crowded, too noisy, lines for everything not to mention we never got to see the main shows because they were all booked up and unable to handle the capacity of the ship. I disagree on notification of itinerary change. When going on a cruise it is absolutely understood that destitution may change due to weather, after all you're on a ship!!

Things we no longer get when we cruise: ice, room service twice daily, lobster night, food available 24 hours, free pizza, minimal specialty restaurants, specialty restaurants thay wete just for a cover charge- not al a carte charges, free room service. The list goes on. We pay more and get less for every cruise. Shore excursions have become unaffordable. And i agree- no one enforces the rules especially for distuptive behavior. It's become a free for all! Love this video.

Yes, more solo. I would love to travel by myself. And Enforce ADULT only areas. Not one adult with 4 kids in the area. Princess, more benefits for elite!!!! You took away so much for us loyal cruisers(55 cruises)

You missed food quality. I just got off a 12 day Australia and New Zealand cruise on NCL Spirit. The food was sub par to say the least. Messing up orders, forgetting dishes ordered, over cooked and dry. It was brutal. The buffet had better food than the main dining room and that's not saying much.

Those little touches like chocolates on your pillow are so nice. Elevates the vacation just a bit.

All good points don. But here is the thing. People will still go cruising. So the cruise lines don’t care about all this points cause if the old cruisers don’t cruise any more they got the new cruiser generation where those people just don’t care. They still will make their money. That’s the name of their game. Make money. Keep up the good work don. Nice job.

Hi Don, We love cruising but we will NEVER go on a ship with 3000 and above passengers

Solo cabins still cost too much. They are only a hair less than twice the price of a solo inside with a 100% single supplement.
There should be additional loyalty perks for cruisers who reach the top tier. Like a one time reward for the 50th cruise, and another at 75 and big one at 100, etc., etc., etc.
Cruise companies should really step up the tech. There is no excuse for not offering Princess style medallions and 100% basic internet connectivity for the entire cruise.

Cruise contracts are written to guarantee maximum profits, and minimum ways to back out without paying major penalties. Screw the passenger, full speed ahead. No, they won't do anything until they start losing business, and only we can do

I love the smaller ships. Please build them.

I agree with everything you said, Don!! HOWEVER ... Until people stop cruising nothing will happen. What do others think?? 💞

Scrap all the older medium sized ships! Build a bunch of new one without the waterparks but with the niceties of newness and offer exotic ports. I can't find any itineraries from Hawaii to South Pacific other than Oceania so that's who we will book with.😅 and every ship should have solo cabins for 1/2 the price, and of story.
