Abstract: As we progress in the Second Quantum Revolution, an age of great advancement in the control of the smallest systems known to man, we try to see the extents to which physics and engineering have been pushed to achieve this 'quantum hardware' capability, with respect to Quantum computers in particular. We will see the challenges these systems phase (pun intended) and the advantages or disadvantages of one kind of qubit over another.
