Do you use any protective case for your iPad Pro at all?

I am using a Coverbuddy on my 2020 iPad Pro with a Magic Keyboard. It covers most of the iPad, it has connection dots so it fits on the Magic Keyboard. The Apple pencil fits on the top and doesn't come off when handling it as a tablet. The charging port is a little tight but a Demel would open it a bit or use the keyboard charger opening. It looks a lot like the cover you showed in the video.

I also bought the Pitaka case, it’s a company here in Shenzhen the first Case failed but (broken on the bottom edge) Pitaka send me 2 new cases after some communication. I use it for all Iphones and in the car, great products (The smaller cases are real Aramid fibre)

No offence, but how are you reviewing an ipad case without an ipad to see the fit?

Thanks for the video. I have the Magic Keyboard Folio and it's a love and hate relationship. Hate that it's unprotected when not in the folio. Or while in the folio it doesn't fold all the way open like normal folio's. Was thinking of getting another folio when I needed to use it without the keyboard. Came across this video and it's a solution that has peaked my interest. Still not the perfect solution but better than nothing. Thank you very much !!!

It is an issue because it’s pretty expensive and the iPad is not really protected. And in my case, I have the iPad because I work with it, and my work is drawing. So is not a good work flow to have it in the “magic keyboard” and then take it off unprotected for the most of my work. And let me tell you, I have had probably 15 apple products for the last 14 years including the Apple Watch and just 2 of them that I haven’t drop and spoiled somehow. So Murphy is telling me to protect my investment but apple doesn’t feel it’s need it🤔🤣. Great video !!!

I used the PITAKA one on my iPad and it's pure, overpriced garbage. This thing started breaking and chipping off a week after I bought it, there are plastic pieces missing from corners and the line on the charging port snapped.
I absolutely advise against buying it.

I´ve used the Pitaka case for my Ipad Pro 12.9 version 2018. At the end I was dissapointed. Not because it offers none drop protection. To be honest, there is no keyboard case, which offers drop protection. They don´t even claim to do so. They offer only protection against scratches (like when you have some sharp objects in your bag with Ipad). Some users only hear the word protection and they don´t ask against what is it exactly. It´s somwhat false advertising, in a certain sense.
To be fair, it´s not even technically possible that so thin layer of anything could absorb shock from drop (remember how heavy is Ipad Pro 12.9). So only cases which offers some drop protection are likes Zugu case or Urban armor gear - but those are not keyboard compatible. Just see how big and bulky they need to be (especially on the edges) - compare it to this Pitaka superthin plate.

But I was expecting that, when buying Pitaka. I decided I can live with only the scratch protection. But ended dissapointed, because in few months the plastic on the side started to bend and break. Not because of drop, it simply started to wear out. I was not the only one to reported similar issue. However to be fair, those who claimed the issue to manufacturer, got the replacement as I was told. I myself switched to Ipad Pro M1, so I wouldn´t use mine anyway after that.

I just put an decal skin on iPad Pro, protects from scratches and when I need to take it off the magic keybrd I use a smartcase
